The EDM25BM can work in single-pole, 3-way, and multi-location applications. In 3-way applications, either a mechanical switch or an EDM25BC companion dimmer can be used. However, in multi-location applications, only multiple EDM25BC companion dimmers can be used; mechanical switches are not allowed.
